The study of judicial practice in prosecuting human trafficking in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2003–2021) provides a comprehensive insight into the legal framework, characteristics of victims and perpetrators, as well as the challenges and trends in combating this complex form of crime. Based on the analysis of 104 cases and 319 victims, the report highlights the dominant presence of internal trafficking, predominantly involving the sexual exploitation of women and girls, and underscores the need for a stronger institutional response, more efficient prosecution, and better victim protection.
