Successfully held workshops within the eSAFE project at the First Gymnasium Zenica

The Youth Center INPUT from Zenica is implementing the initiative “𝐞𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 – Safe and Responsible Internet Use,” aimed at raising awareness about the growing problem of cyberbullying and strengthening digital skills among children and youth. The initiative is part of the project “Connecting the Dots 2.0 – Advancing Child Participation in Decision Making for Enhanced Child Rights and Democracy in BiH,” funded by the European Union.

This project is important because it supports children’s rights to privacy, safety, and access to information in a secure digital environment, all in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Children have the right to protection from all forms of violence, including digital violence, and to be informed about online risks and opportunities. The project strengthens the capacities of children and youth to become responsible digital citizens who know how to protect themselves and others, contributing to the development of a safer and healthier social environment.

Two educational workshops were held at the premises of the First Gymnasium Zenica, attended by around 50 students. Prof. Dr. Hadžib Salkić delivered an engaging and interactive lecture introducing key topics related to internet safety and responsible online behavior. After the lecture, students tested their knowledge through a Kahoot quiz and then deepened their understanding and exchanged views through teamwork. Together, we are building a safer digital environment for our children!

Thanks to the administration of the Public Institution First Gymnasium Zenica for their hospitality and technical support!
