Call for representatives of the academic community: International Conference “Child Protection 2025”

The Centre for Gender Equality Studies at the University of Kelaniya, in cooperation with the National Child Protection Authority and UNICEF Sri Lanka within the JURE project, is organizing an international conference on child protection, which will take place from July 25 to 27, 2025, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. More details about the Conference concept can be found at: https://iccp.kln.ac.lk/
The primary goal of the Conference is to bring together representatives of the academic community, students, practitioners, and policymakers to share the results of their work and participate in discussions on current issues in child protection.
By encouraging collaboration and dialogue among participants, the aim is to promote safer environments for children, women, and gender-diverse groups both locally and globally.
The Conference organizers invite representatives of the academic community from potential participating countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, to submit their research papers on the stated topic, with a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 – “Gender Equality.” Details on paper submission can be found at: https://iccp.kln.ac.lk/registration-submission
The deadline for paper submission is March 31, 2025.
Protecting children’s rights is a moral obligation and responsibility for all of us. Therefore, we encourage representatives of the academic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in this call. Through research, the exchange of ideas, and joint efforts, the academic community has the power to shape policies, improve practices, and ensure a better future for every child.
