Results of the contest “A World Without Borders: How I Imagine a Just World for All Children”

Dear participants,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the results of the contest “A World Without Borders: How I Imagine a Just World for All Children.” Your stories, drawings, and video submissions demonstrated remarkable creativity, empathy, and a genuine desire to make the world a better place for all children.

A total of 129 individual works were received in various formats, expressions, and messages, offering inspiring perspectives on what the world could look like through the eyes of a child. The winning works were selected in each of the three age categories:

Ages 7–10:

Ages 11–14:

  • Leonardo Talić, Mostar
  • Sumeja Malagić, Zenica
  • Iris Mujić, Klokotnica, Doboj Istok

Ages 15–18:

  • Elma Mujanović, Zavidovići
  • Anela Nebić, Gradačac
  • Naida Šemić, Blagaj
  • Edina Osmanović, Husino
  • Amina Ćordić, Bužim
  • Aldina Palić, Bosanski Petrovac
  • Sumea Begić, Sarajevo

The awarded works will be published on the Platform for the Advancement of Child Rights (http://www.platforma.gov.ba), and the authors will be contacted regarding the Award ceremony. Special thanks and special awards for nurturing children’s imagination, effort and voicea are granted to the Primary School “Čapljina,” the Day Care Centre for Children at Risk from Banja Luka, and the kindergarten “Poletarac” from Srebrenica.

In addition to the awarded works, a selection of other works that impressed us with their creativity and powerful messages will also be published on the Platform. Although they could not be awarded this time, we believe they deserve to be shared and seen, as each of them carries valuable ideas and contributions to the topic of children’s rights.

The contest was implemented within the project “Connecting the Dots 2 – Advancing Child Participation in Decision Making for Enhanced Child Rights and Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” implemented by World Vision BH Foundation and Association “Naša djeca” Sarajevo in partnership with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
