Every workshop is a new and always pleasant experience for me, whether I am leading it or participating in it. This time was no different. The project “The Future Is in Our Hands” was exactly such an opportunity—a space to improve skills in public advocacy, leadership, and project writing methodology. Participants connected with each other, new friendships were formed, and some “old” ones were renewed. Together, through conversation and discussion, we realized that this was the perfect chance for us to do something for our city—the city where we are now, the city where we were born, where we grow up, study, work, and create memories.
We decided to draft an initiative and hope that, with the support of local authorities, we will be able to illuminate several smaller parks in Banja Luka neighborhoods. Our goal is to create a more pleasant and safer environment for our fellow citizens and for everyone who chooses to visit our city and enjoy the beauty of Banja Luka. With the knowledge we gained in the workshops and our previous experience, I believe we can achieve this goal. Thank you to the Citizens’ Association “Srce na dlanu” Banja Luka for making this experience possible, and thanks to everyone who supports our Association.
