Support for Youth Mental Health: Personal Development Workshop Held as Part of the EU Project in Banovići

At the premises of the BaUM Youth Association in Banovići, a professional workshop dedicated to mental health, personal development, and building mutual support among young people was held. This activity was carried out as part of the EU project “ Connecting the Dots 2.0 – Advancing Child Participation in Decision Making for Enhanced Child Rights and Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” implemented by the World Vision BH Foundation and the Association Our Children Sarajevo in partnership with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH.

The workshop was led by a psychologist from the Mental Health Center of the Banovići Health Center, with a focus on empowering youth through open dialogue, sharing experiences, and practical advice. In a safe and supportive atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences related to stress, anxiety, and loneliness, to gain deeper self-understanding, develop empathy, and strengthen shared values. Through practical tips and tools, participants were introduced to strategies for coping with challenges, which enhanced their resilience and self-confidence.

Such meetings not only contribute to individual development but also strengthen the youth community, who actively participate in social processes and advocate for the improvement of mental health and children’s rights,” emphasized the BaUM Association.
