REASONABLE STORY – Episode 3: A Dad Shaped by Humanitarian Work in Africa, Asia, and Europe
Who are we?
For over two decades, the Association “Nova generacija” has been providing free support to children, youth, and families in Bosnia and Herzegovina through social protection services. Through our Day Center for children at risk, Counseling Center, and the Blue Phone helpline, we work every day to create a safer environment for growing up.
About the platform:
The Shield of the Nova generacija is a platform launched to provide financial support for our services, while actively involving individuals and companies who want to be part of the change. As part of the platform, the podcast A Reasonable Story was created, where we open important conversations about mental health, parenting, and child protection — clearly, professionally, and with deep understanding
About the episode:
In the third episode of Reasonable Story, we talk with psychologist Dario Lipovac, a professional with extensive experience in international humanitarian work, who now holds global mental health support roles at Save the Children. As a new father, Dario shares how years of working in crisis-affected and culturally diverse environments have shaped him—not only as a person but also as a dad.
What does parenting look like when it’s shaped by experiences from Africa, Asia, and Europe? How do you build closeness with your child when you’re simultaneously a psychologist, a humanitarian worker, and someone who sees the world from many different angles?
