I really like the new version of the Platform. I believe something like this is essential, and I’m glad it’s simple and child-friendly. Lavić Zola, as a symbol of strength and an interactive guide, will be interesting for children and will make it easier for them to decide to join and actively participate on the platform. I think we should all work together to engage children, associations, and institutions that work with children—with a special focus on the schools we cooperate with—to actively get involved, share opinions, stories, research, point out problems they face, and so on. We all need to make an effort to “put the Platform on solid ground” so that it continues to “live” for many years beyond the project duration.
The platform dedicated to advancing children’s rights is an exceptionally valuable tool for empowering children and youth. Lion Zola, whose name is a symbol of inner peace and harmony, invites children, youth, and adults to join, actively share content, and encourage others to do the same. The platform:
- Provides a safe space for expressing opinions – Children often lack opportunities to publicly talk about their experiences and challenges. This platform allows them to share their stories in an environment tailored to their needs.
- Is supported by experts and professionals – Feedback children receive from experts and professionals can help them better understand their rights, receive useful advice, and feel supported.
- Develops communication skills and critical thinking – Participation in discussions on important topics helps develop abilities in analysis, argumentation, and informed decision-making.
- Strengthens children’s and youth’s self-confidence – When children see that others listen to them and value their opinions, it can positively affect their confidence and sense of self-worth.
- Encourages inspiration and connection – Positive stories and experiences can motivate others to stand up for themselves or their community. Children can also find like-minded peers and build a support network.
- Raises awareness of children’s and youth’s rights – By sharing stories and experiences, the platform contributes to educating children and the wider public about children’s rights, which can lead to better implementation in society.
- Provides faster and more accessible help – Children facing problems can more quickly access information about available resources and ways to protect their rights.
Ultimately, such a platform not only helps children in their development but can also have a broader social impact by fostering dialogue and driving change in the children’s rights protection system.
