Creativity That Changes Lives

Through the “Young Creators” initiative, implemented by the Desnek Youth Centre Breza, children were provided with a safe space for creative expression, social interaction, and the development of new skills. What began as a series of creative workshops evolved into an opportunity for children to build self-confidence, form new friendships, and discover their own potential.

In this video, Sara and Naida talk about the changes the initiative brought into their lives, from increased self-confidence and a greater ability to express their feelings, to a stronger sense of belonging and peer support. They are particularly proud of the sense of community that emerged through the workshops, the new friendships they formed, the confidence they developed, and the fact that through creative activities children were able to discover their talents, learn to express their emotions more openly, and find a space where they feel accepted, heard, and valued.

The initiative was implemented as part of the project “Connecting the Dots 2 – Advancing Child Participation in Decision-Making for Improved Child Rights and Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by the World Vision BH Foundation and the Our Children Association Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the European Union.
