How Do Children See the Changes They Help Create?

Through the initiative “Child Perspective: Voice of the Future”, implemented by the Youth Association “Centre for Youth Development” Lukavac, children and youth were empowered to recognize their rights, express their views and needs, and actively participate in developing an Action Plan, which was presented to representatives of the City of Lukavac. Further support has been secured for the next steps and the implementation of the planned measures.

In this video, participants talk about the changes they are most proud of, how the project helped them build self-confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and increase their awareness of their rights, as well as why the “Connecting the Dots 2” project was an important step towards ensuring that their voices are heard and taken into account within their community.

The initiative was implemented as part of the project “Connecting the Dots 2 – Advancing Child Participation in Decision-Making for Improved Child Rights and Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by World Vision BH Foundation and the Our Children Association Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the European Union.
