Dear children,
We invite you to participate in a competition for the best story on the theme of children’s rights and children’s participation in society. Through this competition, we want to hear your voice—your ideas and experiences about what children’s rights mean to you and how children can take part in making decisions that affect them.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina can apply to the competition, in three age categories:
- Children aged 7 to 10
- Children aged 11 to 14
- Children aged 15 to 18
TOPICS
The stories should focus on children’s rights and children’s participation. You can write about your personal experience, an imaginative event, your wishes for a better future, or examples of how children can make a difference in their communities.
APPLICATION
- Each child may submit only one story in different formats (text, video, drawing, photograph, or other creative formats),
- The story may be up to 2 pages long (up to 600 words),
- A video may be up to 60 seconds long,
- A drawing or photograph should include a short description,
- The work must be original and created by the child.
AWARDS
All stories that meet the competition requirements will be published on the Platform for the Advancement of Children’s Rights (www.platforma.gov.ba), and the best ones will be awarded with appropriate prizes.
DEADLINE
The stories must be submitted no later than 05 December 2025 to the e-mail address: povezivanjetacaka@gmail.com, with the subject line: “For the competition: Little Authors of Big Stories – Stories from a Child’s Heart.”
The application must include:
- the child’s full name,
- year of birth,
- name of the school and place,
- contact phone number or e-mail of the parent/guardian.
