The Green School, an educational program that brought together 50 young people from various parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held in Tuzla from August 26 to 29, 2025. The program was organized by the Center for Ecology and Energy, with support from UNICEF, with the aim of strengthening knowledge, skills, and networking among youth in the fields of ecology and environmental protection.
During the four-day program, participants had the opportunity to learn about ecology, climate change, advocacy, and activism. Through interactive workshops, they also developed plans for their own ecological activities, which they will implement in their local communities.
Beyond gaining knowledge, a key value of the Green School was the networking of young ecological leaders, the exchange of experiences and ideas, and the joint creation of a vision for a greener and more sustainable future. Organizers emphasize that through the planned activities of the Green School participants, the message about the importance of caring for the environment will continue to spread, along with the inclusion of youth in decision-making processes and concrete actions within their local communities.
